Logan Haami, is currently a third year undergraduate student studying a Bachelor of Mathematics and Finance at the University of Technology, Sydney (UTS). He has completed subjects spanning from stochastic modelling, to calculus, to investment analysis. He is looking to undertake an honours in mathematics/analytics in 2016.

His research interests lie dominantly within partial differential equations and their applications to the physical and financial world. Additionally he has other interests in biomathematics and time series analysis.

Outside of academia, Logan, enjoys playing snooker and eating good food.

Modelling Of Absorbing Thin Film Optical Materials In The Presence Of Highly Conductive Gratings.

We are interested in studying the interaction of light in the presence of a grating material. This has direct applications towards improving the efficiency of solar panel outputs. The research aims to provide analytic solutions to this problem through the use of the Helmholtz equation. There are two approaches to this problem. I, Logan Haami will study the Dirichlet condition, while Andy Chu will study the Neumann condition.
