Mathematical Model of Oscillatory Calcium Signals
The objective of this project is to develop new models of calcium signaling, factoring in age varying parameters to account for changes in frequency over time. Predictions from the model will be compared with the experimental data.The mathematical models used to describe this interaction will be a first order system of ordinary differential equations. The new models will be analysed through use of phase plane analysis. The models can then be developed further by taking into account the spatial variation through use of the reaction-diffusion equation.
